Jesus. When will the old bird drop dead!? I'm so tired of seeing her on the news every sunday going to church. I mean, I don't really need reassurance that she's not dead yet. In fact quite the contrary.

You know, my scrotum just sits around doing little more than being wrinkled and fairly inert, and I don't see anyone concerned for it's well-being.
Fuck the Queen, okay?

You're wrong about that, Dong. Very wrong indeed.

Shouldn't this, in principle, be a daily item?

The usual conclusions about how long E-II-R will live before Chuckie ascends and all that.

wait, did doug just say that dong_resin's scrotum does more than he knows?

midnight flings as the scrotum goes bowling with doug?

a intimate moment over a few cocktails?

a shared giggle over metafilter antics?

We played a game of Trivual Pursuit at my house tonight and one of the questions was "What does the telephone operater say to the Queen when The Queen Mother calls her?" The answer, unfortunately, was not "Shall I tell her you're not in?" but rather "Your majesty, your magesty, your magesty."

You can't prove a thing, jcterminal. Unless you have those pictures from the Eiffel Tower....I knew they were a bad idea.

Ha ha! Jeez, dummy up, already, Doug. Interpol already found the goat carcass, the dead midgets and the auto milking machine. I don't need this now.

She's harmless. If you want to wish someone ill, focus on Strom Thurmond.

I just want a day off. Will we get a public holiday if the old girl pops her clogs?
posted by oddity at 12:44 AM on September 10, 2001

I just can't face the thought of the two week blizzard of "tributes" and the like that will clutter the TV schedules when she finally pops her clogs. It's going to be particularly nauseating for those of us who don't even like the royal family. Thank god for the internet. I've a feeling I'm going to need it.

As an aside, what was American television like when Diana died? In Britain, pretty much every programme on every channel was canceled for about three days. How bad did it get over there?

For similar reasons, I'm waiting for the pope to give up the ghost. Where I live, they'll probably give us a week off. Then again, they might also close the pubs.

Update: Still not dead.

Hooray! She's alive! Hoorah! I'M SO HAPPY NOW! Thanks! That's GREAT news! THE BEST! If she'd died today, I don't know WHAT I'd do!
