YES! I've become obsessed recently with this title, and when it might be available. Of course, I still don't see a release date... I expect to hear "late 2002".

They have just started reprinting the comics as a 6 volume set. I managed to get my hands on the first one, very nice. The comic version is quite long at 2000 pages, but I'm quite a fan of Katsuhiro. If you can find his Domu series, grab it.

As far as the longest comic, I think Cerebus is going to fit the bill eventually.

Better than DVD -- back in theaters! Now with surround sound!

There are plenty of Japanese sagas that are in the 8000 page range. Lone wolf and cub, currently being serialised by Dark Horse, runs to about that length and I think Lum did as well. Cerebus might be the longest single story but it depends on whether you consider it to be one long story or a sequence of shorter stories.

"Patarilo" (another Japanese one) is currently at about 70 volumes, 200 pages each...14000 pages? That must be one of the longest ones...
