This is great.

Moral outrage from some humorless MeFite in 5...4...3...

I love the shots, too bad they were all scanned wholesale out of a wonderful little book. I first saw it in a bookstore in Portland, ME, and loved it then.
I'm not sure how I feel about it being all over the internets now.

Yeah, I own both of these books. I somehow doubt that this page is legally using the work.
p.s. Have two bunnies, still find the book amusing.

The one with the balloon and airplane is a total ripoff of Don Hertzfeldt's Billy's Balloon.

This is not normally my sort of humor. And I'm smiling. The knives/electromagnet especially. The copyright violation is one thing, but on the other hand I would have never heard of this book otherwise. And now I'm forwarding the amazon link to three other people...
Good one, ColdChef.
(on preview, spell check suggests cloche for ColdChef. Hm. 'a woman's close-fitting helmet-like hat'. Learn something new every day...)

Very funny, it sucks a bit to learn that they are ripped off, but I like them anyway and laughed all through.

Is that an ipod? Weird.
I noticed that, too. I thought it would have been funny if they just had one of the bunny flashing the ipod and walking around a seedy neighbourhood, but then we would have had another fight on our hands ;)

I've got the book, and sat my bunny down next to me while I looked through it. She tried to eat it.

Oh man, I don't want to be the morally outraged mefite...
Some of these Rube Goldberg-esque ones are hilarious and disturbing at the same time (tied to palm trees / rockets). Clever and out there kind of stuff!

OK fine, no one found the D-Day one tasteless?

themadjuggler: Yeah, I didn't really crack a smile at that one. But overall this stuff is hilarious. It's the sheer volume and creativity that really makes this hilarious.

This is really the worst type of infringement because there's absolutely nothing attributed, just someone trying to take credit for someone else's work.
That said, the library I used to work at had several copies of the book and I was very amused by it.

Maybe so... The suicide "m.o." here seems quite different than the others which take quite a lot of delight in the technical process, whereas in this one it looks like it just skipped ahead to the outcome. Or something. I guess still bunnies run deep.

taz, I didn't get that one either, and if it is 'suicide by concrete mixer,' I think it's lame.
I liked the star trek one, but the second panel, which was already implied, makes it much less clever.

Select option:
A: Inform other evil
machines of error
B: Try not to think
about it
Option B selected.
I feel that 90% of the humor comes from the other parts of the comic.

I think the concrete mixer one is a bit more convoluted than just that. Perhaps the bunnies pissed off the Mob. Isn't Jimmy Hoffa supposed to be embedded in a bridge?

Everyone knows that Hoffa is buried under the end zone at Giants' Stadium. Anyway, if that's the case, those bunnies have not biodegraded, which is not consistent with some other bunny deaths in which skeletons are shown.

Felt the same way with the bunny ordering Harry Potter online. Cartoon could have stopped with the sad creature sitting by the mail slot.

The bunny is flipping the switch that provides power to the outlet, which will cause the iron to heat up and burn him to a crisp, kindall.
And having viewed these, I now feel terribly sad and I want to hug something cuddly and furry. Poor depressed bunnies.

I thought that might be the case, Dreama, except for the minor detail that outlets don't have power switches on them.
Besides, the iron will take a while to heat up. Why not just plug it in, then pull it over on top of you?

all my outlets do, which is bad because I accidently flipped the switch and turned all my computers off cold here a minute ago. ARGH!
