Science with Bez

Mark "Bez" Berry was the dancer with The Happy Mondays. He recently, sort of, stood for parliament and came out against fracking.

I suppose even a stopped clock can be right twice a day.

Bez never stops. First he moves forward, then back. Then forward again.

I just like that this is the second instance of the word "jiggery-pokery" I've encountered this week.

I am so happy: this is a clip I have checked youtube for multiple times.

It was my main 'Why isn't this on the internet?'... I'd search for it every few months. I knew it wasn't a dream or that I'd imagined it because there's a wikipedia entry for the Sunday Show. But at times I thought I'd never see it again.

Of course now I can grump and moan about the other eps not being up.

Bez was actually the most talented member of The Happy Mondays.

"All bands have their own special chemistry. And Bez was a very good chemist."

Bez was actually the most talented member of The Happy Mondays. Aside from Wetherall and Oakenfold, who the band owe everything to.

Having seen the Mondays when really sober and when really fucking high*, and knowing that they were among the first people to import MDMA into Manchester from Ibiza, and then sell it to their audiences, I'm going to suggest that they owe nearly everything to Alexander Shulgin.

(Plus more seriously they still deserve credit for their work from before Oakie got involved - Bummed was great and Squirrel and G-Man (etc) had its moments, albeit that his versions of WFL and Hallelujah are probably their best tunes).

*Me, not them. They were always really, really fucking high.

The important thing is I'm not Bez.
Excellent, baby! What's a bez? Oh, er, Bez in American He's like You know Flavor Flav from Public Enemy? No.
Well, he's like him.
